Installed in Dreitzer Gallery at Brandeis University, Waltham MA

Inspired by the spiraling, seemingly random tracks of sea snails in the sand, my work maps and fossilizes their time and communication. Using my own photographic documentation as a reference, I have reproduced these markings to exist in a new context. I used cyanotype to portray the importance of time in the collected data. The tiles were exposed to sunlight at varying lengths to create a range in value, which emphasizes and conceals different areas, similar to how the trails build up over time.
